9 NE MPs sent protest letter to PM on CAB 1

Shillong: Last friday, MPs from North East India sent a letter to the Prime Minister of India voicing their protest against the proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016. In this they express the voice of the people in the region. The Bill will adversely affect the indigenous people in the states of Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim and Mizoram.


It may be mentioned that during the 16th Parliamentary Standing Committee visit to North East India there were widespread public protest to oppose the Bill.
The 9 MPs are bah Vincent H Pala,Tokheho Yepthomi, Pradyut Bordoloi, Ronald Sapa Tlau , K.G Kenye, S.Dyurii, Guarav Gogoi, Abdul Khaelque and L H Hylnhl. Mukut Mithi.
