95 unclaimed coal laden trucks seized by East Jaintia Police

95 unclaimed coal laden trucks seized by East Jaintia Police 1

Shillong: Several raids were conducted by a joint team of District Administration and District Police of East Jaintia Hills, Khliehriat in the past one week.


Throughout the week raids were conducted at numerous places leading to the seizure of 95 unclaimed coal trucks from within the district. Seven separate cases have been registered as per the provisions of Indian Penal Code, MMDR Act and other relevant laws and investigation of these cases have already commenced.


Efforts are being put into ascertaining the owners and drivers, of the vehicles, and the owners of the loaded coal.
