Shillong: The Confederation Of Meghalaya Social Organisation (COMSO) informed that agitation programme will go on, until the Government enact the ILP.
This decision is taken today after COMSO met the State Chief Minister Shri Conrad K Sangma at his Official Residence.
Speaking to Media Persons, the Chairman of COMSO, Robert June Kharjahrin said, that the Government has express the same view on three conditions of the ILP and these 3 conditions, the Government aim to insert in the Act which is already in place, The Meghalaya Registration Safety and Security Act(MRSSA).
Kharjahrin Said “From our side, we agreed to insert the 3 Conditions of ILP into the Act which is already in place, for by bringing another Act it will create confusion in implementation”
He further said, “the Chief Minister has assured us, that he will see that this matter will be done as soon as possible, but from our side we will go ahead with our agitation programme. If the Government wants to delay, Let them delay, but if the Government wants the agitation to end soon, then implement it at the earliest.
CAB and NRC has caused us grave concern because of the intruders into our State from different States. Therefore the Government must come up with the Law.”
