Autopsy done! Archbishop’s remains to reach home soon

Shillong: Reliable sources informed that the autopsy process on the remains of late Archbishop Dominic Jala is completed and his body will soon reach Shillong.

Don Bosco Media Network, Shillong through Fr. Michael Makri informed that the body was shifted from Mc Nary Moore Funeral Home, Colusa County Coroner. Indian Consulate at San Francisco is making all necessary arrangements to send the body home. Ma Vincent H Pala, MP Shillong Parliamentary constitution now in America is said to be taking all necessary steps to see that everything is done to ensure the safe transportation of the body from America to Guwahati on Saturday which he expected it to reach Shillong by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Meanwhile, Fr. Richard M Majaw, Secretary, Shillong Archdiocesan Education Society has written to the Director School Education and Literacy, government of Meghalaya that on the funeral day of the late Archbishop all Catholic institutions East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi District will remain closed.
