Baby girl abandoned at the premises of State Minister

Shillong: The District Child Protection Officer, District Child Protection Unit, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed that an infant baby girl was found abandoned at the premises of Shri. Kyrmen Shylla, Minister of Social Welfare near Mizo Modern High School, Nongrim Hills, Shillong on the 30th October, 2019. The baby is now under the care and protection of the ‘Lawei Baphyrnai’ Specialized Adoption Agency, Shillong.

Any relatives/person having information of any sort regarding the infant may kindly contact the office of the District Child Protection Unit, Lachumiere, East Khasi Hills, Shillong or contact 0364-2502310. Child Welfare Committee, Lachumiere, East Khasi Hills, Shillong or contact 0364-2502310 and Lawei Baphyrnai Specialized Adoption Agency, Shillong or contact 9612760415 and claim the child within 60 days, failing of which the child will be declared legally free for adoption.
