Shillong: After six days and six nights of intense search, finally the body of the two persons who was drowned in the river Kyllang, Laitlyngkot were found yesterday. The name of the deceased are Harry Khongbuh (15) and Athooorkyrmen Khongbuh (34).
The two relatives went missing right from the 15th of August the Independence Day and their bodies were found from the same spot at 8 AM on the 20th of this month. Thanks to the skilled and courageous four local swimmers who by their finding ends the long painful search. According to the family sources the two brothers and one relative went for fishing at that river, but at that point of time the younger one aged 15 slipped while crossing to the other side of the river. His relative who was there cried for help from friends around the area but when he return the elder brother was also found missing from the spot. Perhaps, he jumps instantly to help his brother but only to double the loss to the family. With the recovery of their bodies it gives relief to their families who can give the last rite to their beloved deceased.
