Shillong: In its sitting yesterday, the Conrad K Sangma Cabinet resolved to recommend again to the Governor of Meghalaya, Shri Tathagata Roy to impose Administrator’s Rule in Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC). This is confirmed by the Chief minister while addressing the media yesterday.
It must be reminded that The first recommendation was rejected by the governor. Ever since many controversial developments took place in the Council. The latest development is that the collapsed UDA is now claiming of majority number with the switching allegiance of one of the UDF MDCs, Bah Batskhem Ryntathiang.
Meanwhile, the UDF file a case in the High Court of Meghalaya against the office of the Governor and District Council Affairs (DCA) of the government over its delay to notify the new CEM and his EC.
