Shillong: Pressure groups in the state is in the waiting mood with a sense of pending urgency as the Centre buys time to notify ILP in the state. The KSU already expressed its displeasure and urged all stakeholders to push the matter. now it is the Federation Of Khasi Jaintia & Garo People (FKJGP) Central Body which expressed strongly its pent up feelings on the same.

Speaking to the media, the president bah Welbirth Rani said that such delay shows the adamant attitude of the central government to the state Assembly resolution. Therefore, the FKJGP strongly urged the state government to keenly follow up the matter with the Centre.
meanwhile, the FKJGP also urged the same with regards to the immediate implementation of the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act (MRSSA), 2016. As a way forward it demands that check gates be made active along the border as per the Principal Act of MRSSA 2016 and to direct the District Task Force to carry out the same.
FKJGP will not stop but consult for future course of action with other pressure groups which partner with it in the past.
