Thatched bamboo bridge which was destroyed by Assam Police.

Nongstoiñ: Inter-state border dispute with Assam continues to harass and spreading fear to the people of Meghalaya. This time again, Assam did it. it destroys the thatched bamboo bridge that connects Ukiam with Kyrshai village on the 10th of this month. With this destruction, the people face hardships in their daily life.

This uncivilized act of Assam policehas provoked criticisms from many quarters particularly from the FKJGP Kyrshai Area Unit which also condemns the action.
Governments come and go, but the border stalemate remains unsolved. It is the people living there who suffer the worst. When will this end!
