Shillong: In the last match of the first leg of the Shillong Premier League at the JN Stadium here today, Spirited Ryntih overcame a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Shillong Lajong.
A blinder from Phrangki Buam in the 13th minute give Lajong the lead, while Mohammed Safique Ahmed scored in the 30th.
While Lajong look like they are pretty much in the hot seat and never play an attacking game in the second half, while Ryntih worked hard and piled on the pressure, they got the reward in the 82nd minute from a Fullmoon Mukhim header. A free-kick just outside the box from Sheen Sohktung in the 90 plus minute brought to the delight of the Ryntih Fans.
The second leg begins tomorrow with Nangkiew Irat scheduled to face Rangdajied United at 3PM.
