Shillong: CAB alive again. But peoples will not back off from their protest. North East Students Organisation (NESO) in a sit in protest yesterday in front of Additional Secretariat, Shillong warns to increase agitation programmes.
NESO President, Samuel Jyrwa said, “if CAB is given a go, the indigenous settlers will become minority in their own land after two decades as is the fate in Tripura.” The protest was joined by many pressure groups: KSU, GSU, FKJGP, Ri Bhoi Youth Federation, Arunachal Students’ Union Shillong, Shillong Socio Cultural Assamese Students’ Association, Mizo Students’ Union, Naga Students’ Union, Twipra Students’ Federation, Shillong Karbi Students’ Association, All Bodo Students’ Union
