Governor play hide & seek, UDA postpones

Shillong: United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of KHADC plans to meet the Governor to apprise him that they have the number to form the EC in the Council. But the plan has to be postpone since the Governor Tathagata Roy is not in town. Only a letter was handed at his office.

It is also learnt that the government is reconsidering to re-recommend the ‘Administrator’s Rule” in the Council. The situation in the KHADC now is from bad to worse. The next session is only in February next year.

To pave way for floor test is the declaration of ‘administrator’s Rule’ so that. UDA now with the joining of Mairang MDC bah Batskhem Ryntathiang reach 15 members in total while UDF is reduced to 14 with the chairman.
