Heaviest rain continue in Sohra, planet’s wettest place 1

Shillong: Sohra, the Planet’s wettest place once again received the heaviest rainfall which continued till the last forty eight hours.


On the 11th September the rainfall weighing 163.00mm which gets heaviest three days later that is 252mm on the 14th September visited Sohra again.
In the last 48 hours the 93.0mm continued while in the last 24 hours it is still heavy at 90.0mm.
Shillong received 2.8mm in the last 24 hours while Umiam 1.4mm.
The meteorological department of the government of India warns that in the coming 24 hours there will be thunder and lightning even though rainfall could be lesser.

    I have visited this place on 1st and 2nd October.. It was really the wettest place… Raining all the times..

    I visited Sohrah Cherrapunjee on 22 Sept and found all the places really wetty and extremely wetty, but it posed no problem for me. I was really happy to be there being the rainiest and wettest place on earth.

    I have visited Sohra 12th of July this year…..It was raining like anything….We were all wet and damp

    Yes really sohra is the lucky place in the earth.. during summer season sohra its all wet and not dry even one days also…and at the same time cloud is covered all over monsoon season..
