Shillong: Over a month passed since the directive for shopkeepers at Iewduh to keep their surroundings clean but it remains to be seen that there are still filthy areas in Iewduh.
Therefore, yesterday the Hima Mylliem inspects the Iewduh and took notice of this. The (Sanitation) Incharge Myntri War Tynghah said, “Today during the inspection it is found that shops like Beef/Pork lanes, Garments and those on roadside have not been maintaining cleanliness as per instruction from the Hima Mylliem. So, the Incharge urged the shopkeepers to comply with the instruction on sanitation. They must do this on or before the first of December this year.
Similar inspection will soon be taken up again in coming days. This inspection and order is in accordance with the order from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) said the Myntri War Tynghah.
