Shillong: Last evening a Godown in the northern part of Iewduh (Burra Bazar) near MUDA Parking lot caught fire but Police sources informed that there was no human casualty. Seven Fire vehicles doused the fire on time. Police reports states that adjacent to this Godown people burnt garbage and the fire is beyond tame suggesting that this could be the reason behind.
In another separate incident at Rilbong, the Godown of Meghana Marak was burnt last Friday despite timely arrival of firefighters the incident cause loss of about one crore as claimed by the owner.
