Shillong: The plus point for any party’s candidate fighting in By-poll election is that one and all in the party leadership and alliances gave full and undivided attention to one constituency which they will not be able to do in general election.
The same is enjoyed by UDP’s Balajiedkupar Synrem. Synrem enjoys the support of not only his own party but also some of the party’s MD Alliance.
Yesterday, NPP, HSPDP apart from UDP leaders campaigned for him at Wahkaliar, Laitduh and Shella villages to appeal voters for their support to UDP’s candidate, Bah Balajiedkupar Synrem in the by-election Shella Constituency.
NPP leader and minister, Ma Sniawbhalang Dhar , Chief Executive Member JHADC Ma Thombor Shiwat; HSPDP’s President Bah KP Pangniang and Bah Samlin Malngiang minister were among the campaigners.
UDP leader and Chief Executive Member KHADC Bah Teinwell Dkhar and Working President Bah Titosstarwell Chyne MDC Sohra constituency and Shella UDP leaders led from the front.
The focal point and strength of the campaign draws from the tall stature and statesmanship of the late Dr. Donkupar Roy whose sudden death called for the by-election. True, all these leaders of UDP and MDA would galvanise support in the plank of sympathy from sympathizing voters the plank that only Bah Balajied Synrem has at his monopoly.
The scheduled date for the Shella by-poll is the 21st of this month, which is only five days left from now.
