Shillong: Adding to their woes, the Jirang MDC take a U-turn as he will not fulfill his promise made in 2017 at the Golden Jubilee of the Lower Primary School Nongwah Mawtamur.
The villagers of this village are really left orphan by those in power. Till now they will have to fend for themselves since no road connectivity is available. For four hours they have to walk on foot for various needs. The most pitiable is in times of sickness where they will have to carry their sick in stretcher covering such a long distance.
Even the bridge to cross the river is not safe enough. Therefore, when a promise for a better and stronger one that would be worth fifteen lakhs is broken by their MDC their misery knew no bounds.
Therefore, the residents of this village laments over this broken promise and appealed to government authorities to turn to them.
