Kong Haffindalyne Giri appointed member Meghalaya Human Rights Commission

Shillong: The State Government through the Political Department yesterday appointed Kong Haffindalyne Giri as Member, Meghalaya Human Rights Commission.


Kong Haffindalyne Giri a retired District & Session Judge. The Warrant of Appointment was released after the Governor of Meghalaya,Tathagata Roy has informed that under sub-section (1) of Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, to appoint kong Haffindalyne Giri, as Meghalaya Human Rights Commission.

Kong Haffindalyne Giri, will assume office in the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission under sub-section (2) of the Section 21, Chapter V Act
This has been notified on the 26th June 2017 by the Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy, and have been approved notify through Memo POL.155/96/Pt111/50 signed by kong RV Suchiang, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt of Meghalaya, Political Department on the 15th October, 2019.
