May I appeal Government of Meghalaya not to procrastinate and be battle ready to counter COVID-19 before it is too late. The government can think of ways (and act ) to convert the public spaces like stadiums, community halls and other spaces into makeshift hospitals, stocking of enough food items, medicines, filled LPG cylinders, petrol and diesel, etc. till this crisis gets over. AND, TO MAKE SURE (PRACTICALLY) THAT EACH AND EVERY PERSON GETS FOOD TO EAT IN MEGHALAYA.
May I also appeal to all our MLAs, Ministers, MDCs and MPs to utilize (the entire) government funds they have with them for taking care of their respective constituencies. It’s now or never situation for them.
My appeal is also to Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (SNSBH), dorbar shnongs, business establishments and associations, hotel association, IAS association, arm forces associations, local taxi association, tourist taxi association, Shillong Bar Association, Shillong Teer Association, association of coal traders, limestone exporters, The All Garo Hills Construction Materials Suppliers and Workers Association (AGHCMSWA), all the religious and cultural committees, Bihu committee, communities hailing from all over India, NGOs, trusts, women and youth bodies, etc.. to come forward and do their bit at this time of great crisis.
LET’S VOLUNTARILY SHARE THE BURDEN OF (OUR) GOVERNMENT OF MEGHALAYA DURING THIS TIME OF TERRIBLE PREDICAMENT. We may also contribute towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Government of Meghalaya. I take this opportunity to thank Government of Meghalaya for what it has done so far to contain the spread of COVID-19 in our state.
I also appeal to all the rich people in Meghalaya to discharge their share of social responsibilities for ensuring that humanity triumphs over this COVID-19.
God has given us so much, so let’s SHARE and TAKE CARE of all the poor people, especially children, breastfeeding mothers, the infirm irrespective of caste, colour or creed during this a 21-day (could be extended, we never know) total lockdown in our country.
Let’s not neglect animals at homes, farms and pet shops while engaging ourselves in whatever possible ways to make (sure) that no person in Meghalaya goes hungry.
We shall overcome this COVID-19, period!
