LRO writes to Chief Secretary, DGP over NIT idol removal

Shillong: Yesterday the Legal Right Observatory (LRO), in its facebook page said that it has written to the Chief Secretary, Meghalaya, Home Secretary, Meghalaya, Director General of Police, Meghalaya, over the idol removal by NIT, Meghalaya Campus.


The LRO demands that all the pictures or images of Christian faith be immediately removed from all government offices too in order to maintain an impartial image of government institutions. It also expressed that if the government fails the LRO will take the matter to the Union Home Ministry.
