Respected Representatives!

It’s impossible for the common man but since you are all in power there is nothing that you cannot help to make our rivers live again. #Lunar One of the mighty Lukha river tributary in east Jaintia Hills declared as dead river same as the Rivers is East Khasi and west Khasi hills which is not even fit for human to drink as the pH level of the water is only 4.3 considered as unfit for human to drink due to high level of acid.

Where these acidic chemicals coming from when the National Green Tribunal NGT already stop mining since last four years ? As per the research it was suspect and they even found out that Cement plants released their waste to the river. That is why you see the river turning blue during autumn and winter season. So as you all already know the culprits are right in front of us, why should they go unpunished?

Why don’t our Meghalaya’s Wildlife, Fishery Department, Forest Department, Meghalaya pollution control board, JHADC, Districts administration summon those Bhajjanka families seek an answer from them. They need to come and witness themselves for what they had done to the mighty Lukha river ? When we were kids we heard about it Name and fame of the river but sad to see the river is crying and dying every day. It’s ashamed to your @National people Party governances if you can utter a words about it. Please see the attchached document published by the East Jaintia Hills District administration for your kind reference.

Regards

Meghalaya citizen.
