Shillong: Meghalaya Police, has clarified that no such commotions of the Sikh family, being reported from any part of the State.
The statement issued today by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, said “On the 15th of August 2019, at around 09:30am, the twitter account of Meghalaya Police was tagged by a twitterati whereby a video was shared along with a tweet informing that it was an SOS Message through social media and that 2000 Sikh families were stuck in a Gurudwara. On receiving the information, Police team forthwith verified the information and ascertained that there was no such incident happening in the state. The tweet and the video was also probe, and it was established that it was an old video which had resurfaced again this year. Furthermore, there are no such commotions which are being reported from any part of the state, and that the tweet which was shared through social media is nothing but pseudo” and signed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), Meghalaya, Shillong.
