Narrow escape for staff nurse of Umden PHC

Nongpoh: A Staff Nurse who wants to remain anonymous of Umden PHC had a narrow escape from the hands of unidentified miscreant who tried forced entry into her Quarter in the PHC with knives warning her not to shout. The Nurse in such critical situation begs them not to harm her but they can take whatever is in her house.The miscreant took all the money she had amounting two thousands with a warning that he will come again and that she must not tell anyone about this.

The employees of this PHC in solidarity with her and in protest against this criminal act took a three days absence from duty. Meanwhile, the Medical Officer filed a case against this criminal with the Police of Nongpoh Police Station.     

Dr. M. Mawrie the District Medical & Health Officer Ri Bhoi District, expressed shock and concern over this intimidating incident and condemn the act. 

Bah Kerbok Mallai, RBYDSO leader urged the Police authority to take swift and stern action to bring the culprit to justice and punish him as per the law.
