Shillong: The NEHUSU (North Eastern Hill University Students Union) strongly condemns the indiscriminate assault on the students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. “We stand with our brothers and sisters during this tragic period” said the statement.
The statement issued by the President and General Secretary of NEHU also said “Students are universally recognized as the future of the world, yet, regretfully, the students of JNU, Delhi were brutally attacked inside the campus which is accepted as a secure environment. This attack portrays the senseless and oppressive ‘goondaism’ mind-set of the attackers.
We stand by our student fraternity through this dark period of our history. We send our support and solidarity to the teachers, students and our counterparts of JNU whose rights and sense of security inside the University Campus, has been SHATTERED”.
