Shillong: Conrad K Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya clears all suspicion saying ‘it is wrong to think of power tussle between Government and Governor over Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).’

Sangma said that perhaps the governor has its own way of thinking when he refused to announce Administrator’s Rule in the KHADC as recommended by his government. While the government is entitled to take up the matter for further discussion yet it is wrong to see that as a show of strength.

On the current situation in Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) the Chief Minister said that it is a different matter altogether although there is a move to topple the ruling EC. In relation to KHADC Sangma said he will talk to the UDA MDCs.
