Shillong: Conrad K Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya met the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, to discused about various issues and especially the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).
In the meeting with Amit Shah the Chief Minister was accompany by his Dy. Chief Minister, PrestoneTynsong.
Media sources said that the CAB, will be tabled in the coming winter session on Monday.
Speculation are high that the BJP Government will push hard to make the CAB become a law.
Other issues that are discussed with the Home Minister are the Amended the Sixth Schedule, The Them Ïew Mawlong (Sweeper’s Lane) and others. Mr Sangma also met Union Minister of State Finance, Anurag Thakur to discuss about the financial position in the State.
