Nongpoh: A day after FKJGP Sohkhwai Umdu Unit aired its protest the Ri-Bhoi Tourism & Environmental Development Forum (RBTEDF) insists it the Fishing Competition will go on as planned at Wah Umtrew, Lailad. The entry fee will be lowered down from rupees five to rupees three hundred per head.

Official of RBTEDF bah Plielad Tiewsoh publicly clarifies this yesterday. He also said that it is not to make money but the intention is create awareness on conservation of aquatic lives in this river.

The FKJGP came heavily on the RBTEDF’s plan to organize fishing competition in the river. It questions the motif saying if it is really to care and conserve aquatic lives the RBTEDF should have put fishes in the river.

The competition will be held tomorrow the 9th November, 2019.
