Shillong: At Lawbyrtun Presbyterian Church gathered all the pastors of the great Synod, KJP Synod Sepngi for the Pastors’ Fellowship last Saturday and Sunday.

In the Sunday morning service the preacher was senior pastor Rev. P. W. L Marwein a retired pastor of the Synod (Sepngi). The pastor preached a controversial sermon basing on Revelation 13: 11-18.

He speaks about the deceiving role of satan and the arrival of a new world order. The signs of such according to him were, emergence of scientists of the natural world; universal identification number (adhaar/bio-metric) amongst others.

As he proceeds forward, mid-way he was asked to stop and take his seat by the moderator in the dais because he came to a sense that the sermon is going in the wrong direction with great potential to confuse and mislead the audience.
It may be mentioned here that, not long ago this same pastor was summoned by the Synod over his writing on the adhaar issue which he equates it with the 666 of Revelation 13. This writing goes against the circular of the Synod. But the question arise, why did this very same Pastor with such controversial stand was appointed to preach?

Interpretation of the Bible only to one side just because the person is interested to concentrate to imagine the unimaginable thing and convince the others to agree in his opinion is not appropriate. When something went wrong during the service the Moderator ordained by the Church Authority shall have the right to overrule such cases.
