Shillong: A delegation of the Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers Association (KJDSTA) and Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers Association (GHDSTEA) met the Chief Minister, Meghalaya, Shri Conrad Sangma, on the 14th August 2019.
The Chief Minister paid a serious heed and attention on the demands put forward by both the Associations. The Chief Minister told the delegation, that he will first discuss and consult with his Education Minister Shri Lakmen Rymbui and then take up with the officials of Education Dept before taking any decision, on the genuine demands of the deficit school teachers of Meghalaya.
However, on official sources received by the Associations, confirmed that some of the demands of the Associations will be fulfilled very soon.
At the same time,the KJDSTA will hold a felicitation cum general meeting on 22nd August 2019 at u Soso Tham Aditorium at 11.00 am. The first part of the program is the felicitation to Shri E D Nongsiang and Shri RS Marbaniang the ex president and ex vice president of the KJDSTA respectively.
On this felicitation function, former Education Minister of Meghalaya,Shi R G Lyngdoh has kindly consented to attend as the Special Quest and second part of the program is purely the general meeting where only KJDSTA members from central body, Zonal and different units of KJDSTA can participate.
