Will continue my father's dreams and work: Balajiedkupar 1
Balajied Synrem, at the time of filing of nomination for the bye election at Sohra, on Wednesday.

Shillong: Filing his nomination yesterday, Bah Balajiedkupar Synrem son of late Dr. Donkupar Roy and Shella Bye Election UDP Candidate said, “I will continue the work of my father and fulfill his dreams”.

Accompanying him were the president UDP Bah Metbah Lyngdoh who is also the Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Ma Lahkmen Rymbui Minister, Bah Nujorki Sungoh u MLA, and from NPP also Ma Sniawbhalang Dhar Minister and Samuel Sangma NPP MLA. As of now NPP is only MDA partner that has given support to the UDP candidate.


Speaking to media persons bah Balajiedkupar said he will continue the work of his father and fulfill his dreams if elected. It is understood that much of the work he has started is left unfinished by his sudden demise. Therefore, his son vowed to continue those work till completion. The main works and dreams of late Dr. Donkupar Roy are: to upgrade Sohra to the District from the Civil Sub-Division, to raise the standard of education and road development.
He expressed confidence of enjoying the trust and love of the people which they have shown to his late father and that it will translate to victory.
His confidence he said “is much stronger when the MDA partner the NPP is extending to him full support. He also said that this speaks in itself that the government is solidly strong and will be stronger if he wins.”
He said he has no say on the fielding of candidate by other parties.
